A 40-year-old businessman identified as Ogbeni Goggo has reportedly d+ed by s¥icide in Delta State after the business for which he obtained a ₦1.8 million loan allegedly failed to go as planned.
Goggo, who had been married for three years without a child, reportedly sent messages to some friends and family members on Wednesday, August 26, saying he was tired of life and wanted to end it all.
When he failed to return home that night, his wife became worried and contacted family members as efforts were made to reach him by phone. The search continued throughout Thursday, but there was no sign of him.
On Friday morning, his wife went to the Ebrumede Police Station in Uvwie Local Government Area to report him missing. Police officers reportedly showed her a photograph of a deceased man found at the Ebrumede Flyover/DSC Roundabout area, which she identified as her husband.
According to reports, some people who saw Goggo after he reportedly ingested Sn+per raised an alarm and attempted to help him, but he had already collapsed and was jerking. The police were later alerted, while his remains were evacuated to a morgue in Agbaro.
