Yesterday evening in Ekpoma, Edo State, a silver Lexus slammed into a residential building, leaving a trail of twisted metal, shattered wood and scattered debris.
The impact was severe, with part of the structure collapsing around the vehicle as the car became partially buried in what appeared to be a living space or shop. Neighbours quickly gathered at the scene as news of the crash spread through the area.
Despite the shocking impact, no lives were lost. A woman at the scene was heard praising God and expressing gratitude that everyone survived the terrifying incident.
Speaking at the scene, the woman said: “Make una help me happy o, Yahoo boys no go kill person for Ekpoma. Dem dey run enter people house, dem no dey run enter their own house, but na people house dem run enter. Dem no dey kill their mother, kill their papa; na who dem wan use supply dem dey find o.”
Her emotional remarks reflected both her relief that nobody was killed and her apparent frustration over what she described as the reckless behaviour of alleged Yahoo boys.
