Some displaced Residents of Kempus in Dominlle have recounted the ordeal following deadly attack by Mwaghavul Militia, saying the incident left families devastated and claimed the lives of some parents.
In an emotional account, one of the women said the attackers invaded the community and carried out the assault, killing people and leaving many families to mourn their loved ones.
“We started hearing gunshots from hour neighbours. Before we realised they have surrounded us and began shooting everyone. There are women and children. Many people have been killed that we could not quantify the losses,”she said.
We have never had any issues with them we have been living very peaceful before they attacked us and killed our people.
The resident appealed to the authorities and security agencies to strengthen protection for the community and prevent further attacks.
“We do not want any problem, we want peace,”she said.
