Nickelodeon star Christy Knowings has died at the age of 46 after suffering an asthma attack which reportedly left her with brain damage.
The actor and comedian, best known for starring in the iconic children’s sketch show All That, died in Los Angeles on Tuesday after being taken to hospital days earlier.
According to TMZ, Knowings suffered an asthma attack on Friday and was subsequently placed on life support after sustaining brain damage. Her family ultimately made the decision to remove her from life support on Tuesday night, the publication reported. Her aunt, Tyleah Joseph, announced her death on Facebook the following day.
Knowings’ manager, Al Hill, remembered the performer as a woman of many talents who remained dedicated to her craft throughout her career. ‘Christy was a multi-talented lady,’ he told Variety in a statement. ‘Whether it was singing, acting, dancing, she was always creating. Always professional and dedicated to her work.’
