Peter Obi Responds to Claims He Never Built Schools as Anambra Governor

NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has dismissed claims that he failed to build schools during his tenure as governor of Anambra State, insisting he did far more than construct classrooms.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s One-on-One, Obi responded to questions about his record in office, saying critics often overlook the projects his administration executed.

“Seun, I built more than schools,” he replied

Pressed to name schools he built, Obi pointed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University campus in Igbariam, saying the site was nothing but a bush before his administration transformed it into a functional institution.

“If you go to today, Odumegwu Ojukwu University… there’s a place called Igbariam campus. Seun, I cut the grass. What I mean, it was a bush. I leveled the bush.”
