Nine kidn@pped victims have regained their freedom after escaping from a t+rrorists’ hideout when their captors reportedly fell asleep in Katsina State.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Media Information Officer of Joint Task Force (North West), Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, troops of the 17 Brigade intercepted the victims during a foot patrol at about 8:30 a.m. on July 15 in Anguwan Doka, Faskari Local Government Area.
The rescued victims comprised three women, four men, and two children. They told troops they were abd¥cted by armed t+rrorists along the Tsafe–Kuchere Road in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The victims said they seized the opportunity to flee after the guards at the t+rrorists’ camp fell asleep, trekking through the bush until they were spotted by the military patrol.
