A UK inquest has concluded that Beatrice Solomon, a 27-year-old Nigerian mother of one, ended her life following a prolonged struggle with her mental health.
Beatrice was found unresponsive at her home on Norris Road in Stoke-on-Trent on March 4, 2026. Her husband, Damian Michael Butler, who had left for his delivery job earlier that day, returned home a short time later and discovered her. Paramedics arrived at the scene but pronounced her de@d.
Police investigations found no evidence of third-party involvement.
During the inquest, Damian told the court that Beatrice had been battling mental health challenges for about a year, which he said stemmed from ongoing issues involving Stoke-on-Trent City Council. He also revealed that he later learned she had previously attempted to take her own life on two occasions.
