Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorist Supplier, Recover 150 Combat Boots in Zamfara

Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested a suspected logistics supplier to terrorists and recovered a large cache of military-grade equipment during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Sokoto–Gusau Road in Zamfara State.

Sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspect was intercepted on June 24 while driving a Honda Civic vehicle conveying military-related items and electronic devices suspected to be meant for terrorist groups operating in the North-West.

Items recovered from the vehicle included 150 pairs of combat boots, three jackknives, three electric shockers, one tear gas canister, one military beret and one belt.

The troops also confiscated two Android phones, one iPad and a digital wristwatch believed to be relevant to ongoing investigations.

The suspect has been taken into custody for further interrogation, while the recovered items are being profiled as part of efforts to dismantle terrorist logistics and supply networks in the region.
