Troops Arrest Wife of Notorious Terror Kingpin, Others in Kwara Offensive Operation

Troops of the 22 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have conducted an offensive operation across Lafiagi, Gbugbu and Ndeji general areas in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The operation, which took place at about 11:30 hours on 15 June 2026, was part of ongoing efforts to clear identified criminal enclaves and disrupt the activities of armed groups in the area.

During the operation, troops apprehended the wife of a notorious terror kingpin, identified as Auta Ilori, alongside her three children near Ndeji town while she was reportedly en route to his camp.

In a related development, troops also arrested another suspect together with his wife and two children at a residence where the kingpin’s wife had reportedly been sheltering for the night.
