B@ndits K+ll Two, Abd¥ct 17 Including Orphans, Children and Married Women in Sokoto Att@ck

Suspected b@ndits have k+lled two people and abd¥cted 17 others, including three orphaned children, married women and other residents, during separate att@cks in Sabon Birni and Wurno local government areas of Sokoto State.

Residents said the att@cksoccurred late Tuesday and early Wednesday, with the g¥nmen using heavy rainfall as cover. In Tarah village, Sabon Birni LGA, the att@ckers overpowered villagers and abd¥cted two married women identified as Lami, wife of Sani Tela, and Hajara, wife of Lauwali Tarno, along with five children.

According to residents, three of the abd¥cted children are orphans, while two belong to Lami. The children are between five and nine years old. The att@ckers also k+lled Nazifi Lauwali Kamtsa and sh%t another resident in the leg.
