A young boy drowned in a river in Jos, Plateau State.
The incident occurred when the deceased and his younger brother went to swim together.
One Gankis Haggai, who confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Monday, May 25, 2026, said the deceased entered the river while the younger brother remained outside waiting for him.
Sensing danger after waiting for a long time for his brother to come up, the minor raised an alarm and sought help from nearby residents.
