US Teen Who Exposed His Classmates’ Inability To Read Threatened With Expulsion

Philadelphia teen who exposed his classmates’ inability to read or comprehend simple sentences says he is now being threatened with expulsion, not graduating, and being barred from prom.

The X post highlights a Philidelphia High School student claiming his school is retaliating against him after his prior video exposed his school mates struggling to read a sentence.

In the viral clip, the student hands out a piece of paper to his classmate and asks them to read out loud the sentence written on the paper.

“The colonel asked the choir to accommodate the governor’s schedule.”

Multiple students had trouble in reading vocabulary heavy-sentences such as “colonel”, “accommodate”, “choir” fluently, revealing widespread literacy gap among high schoolers.
