I admitted to cheating on Will Smith to protect his ego – Jada Pinkett

Hollywood actress Jada Pinkett Smith has opened up about a deeply personal moment in her marriage, revealing that she once allowed herself to be painted as the “adulterous wife” in order to protect her husband, Will Smith.

Speaking candidly about her past decisions, Jada described the period as a major turning point in her life, one that forced her to confront her own emotions and self-worth.

“I had to learn, that was a big learning moment for me. I wouldn’t have been able to see that aspect of myself that needed to learn that I could love myself and love others. That we could all be on the road together,” she said.

According to her, the decision to publicly accept blame was intentional, as she wanted to shield Will from further emotional d@mage and public scrutiny.

“So I’m like, well I’m a have to speak my truth, but I’m also going to protect you. So if I gotta look like the ad¥lterous wife to make sure you’re good, I’m a do it,” she explained.

Jada added that at the time, she felt deeply guilty about the situation her husband was facing and chose to put his wellbeing ahead of her own image.

“In that moment because I felt so bad that he was in this situation, I decided I’m a love you Will and I’m a leave myself at the side of the road,” she said.

She further revealed that she wanted the issue settled quickly, even if it meant accepting the harsh label placed on her.

“Okay, I’m the bad guy, I’m the worst. Great. Let’s be done with it. Right? I wanted it done. You got your answer, I’m the ad¥lterous wife. Let’s be done. And let’s move on, as to get him through it, the family through it, let it go.”
