“We cannot have free and fair elections if critical institutions interfere in party affairs” ~ Hakeem Baba-Ahmed

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has thrown its full weight behind the African Democratic Congress (ADC), raising alarm over what it describes as interference by critical state institutions in the affairs of opposition parties.

Addressing the press, PRP National Chairman Hakeem Baba-Ahmed said the party’s leadership visited the ADC to express solidarity following recent developments, which he described as troubling and potentially harmful to Nigeria’s democratic process.

He stated that PRP, founded on principles of justice, fairness, and democratic integrity, would stand by any political party facing what he called “unjustified, unverified, or partisan assaults” capable of crippling democracy.
