Minister of Power, Adelabu breaks silence amid resignation rumours

The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, has denied resigning from President Bola Tinubu’s government.

Adelabu’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bolaji Tunji, told NAN on Tuesday, that the report was fake and misleading.

He urged practitioners in the fourth estate of the realm to uphold professionalism by fact-checking the source of information before spreading such a story.

The report quoted the minister as saying his decision to resign his appointment as the power minister was to focus on his governorship ambition in Oyo State come 2027.

President Bola Tinubu had directed all political appointees in his administration, who intend to contest elective offices in the 2027 general elections, to resign their appointments on or before March 31.
