Senegalese fans launch a crowdfunding campaign to help pay coach Pape Thiaw’s $100,000 fine after the AFCON final

Senegalese football fans have rallied in solidarity to launch a crowdfunding campaign aimed at helping head coach Pape Thiaw pay a fine imposed on him following the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final.

The initiative, which quickly gained traction on social media, was started by supporters who felt the sanction against Thiaw was unfair and wanted to show appreciation for his role in Senegal’s AFCON campaign. Fans described the coach as a symbol of national pride and commitment, insisting he should not bear the financial burden alone.
