A BMW driver has admitted killing a British teenager just months after he was freed from a Dubai jail for having sex with a 17-year-old girl.
Marwaan Mohamed Huseen, 20, was attempting to flee from pursuing Metropolitan Police officers when he crashed a BMW into a lorry, killing 19-year-old Marcus Fakana who was one of the vehicle’s passengers.
Marcus was released from a Dubai prison in July last year after he was jailed over a holiday relationship with another British tourist in the popular holiday resort.
He was set free following a royal pardon by the emirate’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Three months later Marcus was killed in the crash which occurred in the early hours of October 3, 2025 in Tottenham, north London.
A second passenger in the vehicle was also badly injured.
