Two Nigerians Arrested With MDMA Worth ₦32 Million In Tolichowki, India

The Hyderabad-Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) arrested two Nigerian nationals for allegedly supplying synthetic drugs and seized 150 grams of MDMA valued at about ₹20 lakh during a joint operation with the Tolichowki police on January 8.

The accused were identified as Chidi Ezeh, 42, also known as Nageshwaran, and Obasi James Victor, 38, both residents of New Delhi and natives of Nigeria. The MDMA was recovered from the possession of Chidi Ezeh within the Tolichowki police station limits.

Police said Chidi Ezeh entered India through IGI Airport, New Delhi, on March 18, 2014, on a medical attendant visa which expired in May 2014. His passport and visa had since lapsed. He was earlier arrested in Hyderabad in a narcotics case involving cocaine and MDMA and later moved to Delhi, where he allegedly procured Indian identity documents including Aadhaar, PAN and a driving licence using a false name. Investigators said he sourced cocaine and MDMA from a Nigerian national based in Delhi and supplied drugs to peddlers in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and New Delhi.

“During the present operation, we seized MDMA along with a mobile phone, Aadhaar card, PAN card, Indian driving licence, vehicle registration certificate and bank cards from Chidi Ezeh. He is an inter-State supplier who allegedly coordinated orders through WhatsApp and arranged hand to hand deliveries, either personally or through Obasi James Victor,” said an officer from the wing.
