A young man identified as Israel has committed su!cide at Elebele community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
It was gathered that he hanged himself with a rope inside the bush over an alleged breakdown linked to a failed romantic relationship.
The incident which occurred on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 threw the quiet riverine community into shock and mourning.
According to community sources, Israel had been battling emotional distress after a prolonged disagreement and eventual separation from a woman he was said to be deeply attached to.
